The position serves as a design team member working with a team of engineers and technicians in the Bridge Group. This position is responsible for the development of the work product in regard to planning and design of new and rehabilitated structures.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited school with either a Masters in Civil Engineering emphasizing structures or at least two to four years of structural design experience. The candidate must have good oral and written communication skills, knowledge in the use of MicroStation, familiarity with AutoCAD a plus, and experience with structural design software.

BLA currently has a position open for a Senior Transportation Modeler in our St. Louis, Missouri office. The Senior Transportation Modeler will be responsible for the development of advanced transportation models to support a variety of traffic engineering, transportation forecasting, and planning project applications. The successful candidate must be an experienced traffic simulation and travel demand modeler with emphasis on model development including scripting and coding of model formulations.

This position requires the ability to independently analyze and develop solutions to complex modeling problems under limited supervision and to provide guidance to less experienced staff. Expertise in several software packages such as VISSIM, VISUM, Cube, TransModeler, or TransCAD is required. Experience with GIS and statistical analysis is desirable.

The successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. A master's degree and registration as a Professional Engineer is preferred. The candidate should have a minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive experience, including experience managing and coordinating multiple projects. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

BLA currently has a position open for a Structural Design Project Engineer in our Indianapolis, Indiana office. The position serves as a design team leader in the Structural Design department with responsible charge over the development of the work product in regards to design of new and rehabilitated highway bridges and other structures. Incumbent has charge of a group of engineers and technicians whose main focus is in the Bridge Design area. Incumbent may also serve as a design team member under the designated lead engineer on some of the larger and more complex projects. The position designs and guides structural engineering staff in the development of construction plans and specifications. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis preferred or equivalent plus 10 plus year's experience. Candidate must also be a registered Professional Engineer.
